15th Annual Que Llueva Café Scholarship

Student Application

Application Deadline: Saturday, March 1, 2025, 11:59pm (Eastern Time)
Amount of Each Scholarship: $1,000

CORE proudly sponsors this scholarship to help undocumented students continue onto college. This scholarship is a response to the lack of financial aid that undocumented students face on their road to college despite having met the academic requirements asked of them by educators, schools, and colleges. We, at CORE, hope that our scholarship (and those like ours) will serve as one step towards fulfilling the promise that college is for everyone.

The “Que Llueva Café” Scholarship aims to support the dreams, hopes and aspirations of college bound undocumented students so that they can earn their college education and allow for all of their hard work and sacrifice to persevere. This scholarship program strives to make a world of difference. ¡Ójala que llueva café!

The Chicano academic wants to succeed, but he or she wants the community to succeed too. Likewise, the Chicano community wants the Chicano academic to succeed. Both want progress and betterment… What should be the role and contributions of the Chicano academic?” Do you find that this quote is still relevant and applicable today?
